{"id":1194,"date":"2021-04-01T13:34:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T07:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nepallivetoday.com\/?p=1194"},"modified":"2021-04-25T15:27:32","modified_gmt":"2021-04-25T09:42:32","slug":"creasion-nepals-tree-plantation-and-recycling-drive-small-yet-significant-step-towards-realizing-sdgs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nepallivetoday.com\/2021\/04\/01\/creasion-nepals-tree-plantation-and-recycling-drive-small-yet-significant-step-towards-realizing-sdgs\/","title":{"rendered":"CREASION Nepal\u2019s tree plantation and recycling drive small yet significant step towards realizing SDGs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu<\/strong>: The Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, which all UN-member nations have pledged to achieve by 2030 is seeing its implementation through collaboration between local groups, NGOs and enterprising companies in Bharatpur, Chitwan.<br><br>CREASION Nepal, a non-governmental organization that works for sustainable waste recycling and management, conducted a tree plantation program in Krishnapur, Bharatpur in support of The Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited: Coca-Cola Nepal and in collaboration with Better Chitwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 100 tree saplings were planted in the vicinity of Better Chitwan and CREASION. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recycler Saathi, an initiative of CREASION Nepal also included a follow-up collection of post-consumer waste for recycling produced during the plantation program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program Manager of CREASION Pratistha Shrestha said that the program was organized with a motive to restore green spaces in local communities while promoting active engagement of local youth towards sustainable initiatives for the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to partner with a company like The Coca-Cola Foundation and Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited that recognizes the challenges of packaging waste and the significance of addressing and integrating sustainability,\u201d shared Shrestha, adding, \u201cWe hope other manufacturing companies in Nepal are also focusing on the circular<br>production process and encourages sustainable packaging and recycling activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sustainable Development Goals includes 17 goals that aim to address universal and urgent environmental, political, and economic challenges facing the world. TheNGO\u2019s plantation and recycling program are in line with these goals, especially, the goals of \u2018Responsible Consumption and Production\u2019, \u2018Climate Action\u2019, \u2018Life on Land\u2019, and \u2018Decent Work and Economic Growth and \u2018Partnerships for the Goals.
