So far, the death toll from the infection has hit 3,579, according to the Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In the last five days, Nepal recorded 42,023 coronavirus cases.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The number of active infection cases is 78,629 across the country.<br><br>Similarly, 380 are at the quarantine facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There has been a steady increase in cases in the past few weeks. In five days, Nepal recorded 42,023 coronavirus cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health authorities in Nepal recorded 7,448 new coronavirus cases in the highest single-day spike and 37 fatalities. Out of new cases, a total of 3,893 were from the Kathmandu Valley alone. Of them, altogether 2,779 were in Kathmandu district, 513 in Bhaktapur, and 601 in Lalitpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nepal registered 8,659 cases of Covid-19 in yet another highest single-day spike as second wave infections rage across the country. Out of new cases, a total of 3,825 were from the Kathmandu Valley alone. Of them, altogether 2,849 were in Kathmandu district, 458 in Bhaktapur, and 518 in Lalitpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nepal on Thursday recorded 9,070 fresh coronavirus cases in yet another highest single-day spike.
