{"id":32126,"date":"2022-06-14T14:36:19","date_gmt":"2022-06-14T08:51:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nepallivetoday.com\/?p=32126"},"modified":"2022-06-14T14:36:21","modified_gmt":"2022-06-14T08:51:21","slug":"sikkim-govt-bans-release-of-nepali-film-kabaddi-4-the-final-match","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nepallivetoday.com\/2022\/06\/14\/sikkim-govt-bans-release-of-nepali-film-kabaddi-4-the-final-match\/","title":{"rendered":"Sikkim govt bans release of Nepali film \u2018Kabaddi 4: The final match\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu<\/strong>: The Sikkim government of India has banned the release of the Nepali film \u2018Kabaddi 4: The final match\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, the state government has decided to impose a ban on the release of the movie in the state until the dispute is resolved in an acceptable manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision was taken considering the sentiment of the people of Sikkim and various associations and organizations, said CM Tamang-Golay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buddhist organizations in Sikkim had been demanding to ban the release of the film accusing the lead actress Miruna Magar of disrespecting a Buddhist monk. The actress has courted controversy for slapping the monk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event unfolded at Civil Mall in Kathmandu screening the newly-released film. The cast was at the mall to promote their movie when Magar accused 24-year-old Phurba Tamang of Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality of Mugu of touching her with \u2018wrong intentions\u2019.
