Kathmandu<\/strong>: The Yunnan Performance Troupe, as well as the team of Nepali artists, performed various cultural dance and song events to mark Nepal-China friendship and Chinese New Year here in the capital Friday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by President Bidya Devi Bhandari as the chief guest while, several other top politicians from major political parties, diplomatic corps and Nepali officials were also present on the occasion. \u201cWe are greatly honored by the presence of Madam President,\u201d said Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, while inaugurating the event. On the occasion he recalled the cordial meeting between Nepal President and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in 2019 and said the meeting took Nepal-China relations to a new height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassador said the cultural events like this will further help to strengthen the people-to-people, cultural and diplomatic relations and already strong friendship between Nepal and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several Chinese dance and song events, including Nepal\u2019s famous folk song Resham Firiri<\/em>, were performed during the cultural night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
