{"id":45304,"date":"2023-08-04T11:36:02","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T05:51:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nepallivetoday.com\/?p=45304"},"modified":"2023-08-04T11:36:03","modified_gmt":"2023-08-04T05:51:03","slug":"sagar-sjb-ranas-book-kingdom-lost-launched-in-kathmandu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nepallivetoday.com\/2023\/08\/04\/sagar-sjb-ranas-book-kingdom-lost-launched-in-kathmandu\/","title":{"rendered":"Sagar SJB Rana\u2019s book \u2018Kingdom Lost\u2019 launched in Kathmandu"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kathmandu<\/strong><em>: Kingdom Lost<\/em>, the book penned by Sagar SJB Rana, who&nbsp; is also the author of his previously acclaimed volume <em>Singha Durbar <\/em>was launched in Kathmandu on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book chronicles political events from 1951 to 2008\u2013from when the Rana regime came to an end to when the country embarked on a republican journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe book is primarily based on&nbsp; interviews with various political actors,\u201d said Sagar SJB Rana while addressing the audience that comprised government ministers, politicians, academicians, diplomats, scholars and journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book was jointly launched by former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana, CPN-UML leader Raghuji Pant, historian John Whelpton and writer Rana. Dhungana, Pant and Whelpton commented on the book published by Rupa Publications, India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Kingdom Lost<\/em> is a sequel to Rana\u2019s previous book Singha Durbar which was published in 2017.
